2 For $10 : French Onion Soup

This recipe is super cheap and great for
a cold night. There is a downside, maybe... It will make you fart
a lot if you're not used to eating onions. I love farts, though,
especially the smell.
So there you go.
Ingredients
· 3 tablespoons butter
· 4 large, thinly-sliced onions
· 1 tablespoon salt
· 4 cups water
· 2 tablespoons sherry/port wine
· french bread
· swiss cheese
1) Caramelize onions with butter and
salt.
2) Add water to onions in saucepan
and simmer for 20 minutes.
3) Warm oven to Broil.
4) Grate cheese and cut French bread
into slices. Place soup in oven-safe bowls; add slices of French
bread, and then top with Swiss cheese. Broil until browned.
